Victoria Volsky, LMFT
HI, I'M Victoria
Helping individuals develop insight, resilience, and healthier ways of relating to themselves and others.
I became passionate about mental health through my interest in understanding human behavior and the many factors that shape how we think, feel, and connect with others. During the COVID-19 pandemic, it became increasingly clear how deeply people were struggling and how important accessible mental health support had become. That experience motivated me to pursue a career dedicated to supporting individuals and families through life’s challenges.
My goal in therapy is to create a safe, supportive, and trusting space where clients feel comfortable exploring the more vulnerable parts of themselves. Through this process, individuals can develop greater self-awareness, insight, and the resilience needed to navigate difficult experiences and create meaningful change.
Areas of Focus
Addiction and recovery support
Codependency and relationship patterns
Anxiety and emotional regulation
Trauma and stress-related challenges
Self-esteem and identity development
Family dynamics and relationship difficulties
My Approach to Therapy
I take a trauma-informed and collaborative approach, recognizing that many behaviors and coping strategies develop as ways to manage difficult experiences.
In therapy, I help clients explore patterns that may be influencing their relationships, emotional wellbeing, and decision-making. Together, we work to develop healthier ways of coping and responding to life’s challenges.
My work integrates evidence-based therapeutic approaches including:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to strengthen emotional regulation, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness
Insight-oriented work to understand patterns shaped by codependency and relational dynamics
Supporting Growth and Resilience
I believe therapy can be a powerful space for growth and transformation. My goal is to help clients:
Develop greater self-awareness and insight
Build practical coping strategies for managing stress and emotions
Strengthen confidence and self-esteem
Identify and work toward meaningful personal goals
Develop healthier perspectives and habits in their relationships with themselves and others
I focus on helping individuals recognize their existing strengths while building new skills that support long-term emotional wellbeing.
Education & Professional Background
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I earned my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Touro University Worldwide and my Bachelor’s degree in Global Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
I have four years of experience in addiction treatment, working with individuals as well as their family members to address substance use and related behavioral health challenges. Through this work, I have developed experience supporting clients navigating recovery, relationship dynamics, and the emotional impact addiction can have on families.
A Collaborative and Supportive Process
I believe that meaningful change happens when individuals feel understood, supported, and empowered in the therapeutic process.
Together, we work to create a space where you can explore challenges openly, develop new perspectives, and move toward a healthier relationship with yourself and the world around you.
If you’re ready to begin, we’re here to help.
